Rosie McCauley, BSc (Hons) Ost, DO Principal Osteopath -

Rosie McCauley, Principal Osteopath

Back on Mondays, Thursdays and alternate Saturdays

I became an Osteopath having seen the positive effect that treatment had on a number of members of my family.

I had never had treatment before I attended college but I was convinced that it was what I wanted to do. I commenced training straight from sixth form, and I definitely made the right choice with the support of my family. I love my job...lucky me!

Professional Areas of Interest

Workplace health is something every osteopath considers in the treatment of our patients. I have offered lunchtime seminars help businesses prevent problems occurring and of course we early access to treatment to help avoid the development of chronic problems. The workplace environment of the musician is potentially the best combination of my day job and my hobby. My experience as a performer gives me a unique appreciation for both music and the musician's working life.

The arrival of my son in 2010 heralded a new understanding in the problems experienced in pregnancy and by new mums and babies. The human body adapts beautifully to massive changes, but my osteopathic treatments helped with the aches and pains I did get. My son also benefited from early treatment to ease some digestive problems. I aim to put my personal experience into practice, alongside the post-graduate training I have undertaken over the years in the women's and paediatric osteopathy.

Personal Areas of Interest

I enjoy singing more than anything, passed down from my mother who has a beautiful voice. I have had the opportunity on 2 occasions to perform solo in the Symphony Hall Birmingham, the best! A reluctant sportswoman, I play tennis, ride my bike to work as often as possible, and I enjoy yoga once a week.

Education

Attended local schools, Trinity School and Binswood Sixth Form college. A year at the Coventry Centre for Performing Arts got some of the music bug out my system. European School of Osteopathy, graduating in 1999. Established practice soon after. Voluntary placement at the Osteopathic Centre for Children for 18 months once per week.

Richard Baggott la Velle, BSc (Hons) Ost Associate Osteopath

Richard Baggott la Velle, Osteopath GOsC Reg 7199

Professional Areas of Interest

A combination of osteopathic training with a degree in pharmacology has given me a passionate desire to practice evidence based, structural osteopathy with a particular interest in sports injury and performance. Alongside practicing osteopathy full time in general practice, I also look after two rugby teams in the South West Division (Premiere) so have some great experience in both acute and chronic sports related injuries.

Personal Areas of Interest

I'm a keen hockey player and also enjoy competing in triathlon, although calling myself a triathlete is probably a little strong! I recently (summer 2010) completed the UK Ironman 70.3 triathlon which really was the hardest race I have done to date. I also have a passion for music which has led to a clinical interest in musicians and their associated repetitive type injuries.

Education

Osteopathy BSc (Hons) Oxford Brookes 2009.

Pharmacology BSc (Hons) Kings College, London University.

Emergency First Aid at Work 2009.

Harmohan Kaur, BSc (Hons) Ost Associate Osteopath

Harmohan Kaur, Osteopath GOsC Reg 7402

Professional Areas of Interest

A graduate of the well-respected British School of Osteopathy in London in 2009, I've had experience of treating a wide variety of conditions and patient groups, including children and older patients. I've lots of personal experience of working with large numbers of children and adults, and so patience is a quality I ptactice often. I speak several languages and I'm proficient in sign language at a basic level.

Personal Areas of Interest

I'm an enthusiatic sportswoman, so I empathise with those with a thirst for competition but a susceptibility to injury! I will be available on Mondays and Thursdays up to 7pm, providing some flexibility to those who need appointments after office/ school hours.

Clare De Souza, DO Senior Osteopath

Clare De Souza, Osteopath GOsC reg 1062

Education

British School of Osteopathy, London Graduated 1990

Professional Areas of Interest

I'm beginning my 22nd year as an osteopath and I tend to use a more gentle range of techniques including 'cranial' technique, although this term can be misleading as it can be used throughout the body, and not just the head. Anyone can benefit, but it does suit babies and children particularly well. I trained at the BSO in London and I've taken a range of post-graduate courses in osteopathy in the cranial field since 1992. Over my years in practice in Lichfield, Plymouth, Bentley Heath and for the last year at Westbury,I've gained experience in helping people with a wide range of symptoms.

Sarah Reynolds-Crompton, Osteopath GOsC Reg 6342

Sarah has left our practice. We'd like to thank her for all her hard work over these 4 years, and good luck for the future. Sarah's replacement, Harmohan (see above), will start practising here at the end of September 2011.
